ABOUT
MELANIE SIMARD

After practicing yoga for over a decade, Melanie received her RYT-200hr Hatha & Vinyasa certification and Yin Yoga certification from YogaRenew.

Melanie teaches weekly Gentle Yoga classes at Ipswich YMCA, Greater Beverly YMCA, and Beverly Athletic Club, where she strives to offer the benefits of yoga in fun and approachable ways making it accessible for every body regardless of experience or flexibility.

Her fun, laid back teaching style focuses on grounding, enhancing body awareness and connecting gentle movements with breath, creating balance in the mind and body. Melanie encourages her students to honor themselves exactly as they are, offering plenty of modifications and variations, making her classes suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

When not practicing yoga, Melanie enjoys traveling with her husband Chris, creating art, hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. Also an avid runner, Melanie can often be found running with local running groups or at a local road race (including the 2021 Boston Marathon!). This competing passion has inspired her to complete a course in Yoga For Athletes.
Melanie is always expanding her yoga knowledge and looks forward to increasing her offerings in the future.
